What experiences do you have that make you a good candidate for office?

Over 25 years of employment in PC and Networking support. I possess great troubleshooting skills and always look for the best solution to an issue. I made great improvements to my neighborhood while Homeowners Association President and VP. I hope to do the same with Nunda Township.

What are your top two or three priorities if elected?

I want to achieve Total Transparency at the Nunda Township. My #1 goal is to achieve a balanced budget by going through every line item in the budget and eliminate unnecessary expenses wherever possible. I would like to expand our services by finding volunteers to assist with Township related projects. For example, I would like to have a community garden to provide fresh vegetables to our families in need. I would also like to utilize individuals needing community service hours to help with maintenance needs such as cleaning and painting.

Would you support freezing your taxing district\'s levy until housing prices rebound? Why or why not?

I expect to keep the levy level by lowering expenses. This is extremely important as we all see our home values decline, yet our real estate taxes increase.

What one decision by the township board do you most disagree with and why?

In April 2008, the previous board gave the elected officials a 4% per year increase every year for 4 years. This was too much considering the state of the economy at the time.

What was the biggest accomplishment of the board in the past year?

Reducing officials’ salaries and freezing the salaries for 4 years.

Why should voters elect you to office?

I honestly believe I can reduce expenses to achieve a balanced budget AND develop creative ways to increase our services to the community. I will also treat all residents with the respect they deserve, something that has been lacking in our township.
